The Action Plan for the Scottish Fingerprint Servicewas published in April and identifies action points to develop the organisation for the future.
On 4 September the non-numeric standard of presenting fingerprint evidence in court was brought in following agreement with the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) , the Scottish Executive and the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland (ACPOS).
