Action Plan for Excellence
In April 2006, the Justice Minister Cathy Jamieson, launched the Scottish Fingerprint Service Action Plan for Excellence, which listed 25 Action Points to deliver a world - class fingerprint service to the criminal justice community in Scotland.
The principle purpose behind the Action Plan for Excellence was to take stock of the positive progress fingerprint services had made in recent years and consider what further action was needed to ensure its seamless integration with the new SPSA Forensic Services from 1 April 2007.
This organisational change formed part of the new governance arrangements introduced by the Police, Public Order and Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 2006 and the formation of the Scottish Police Services Authority (SPSA). A copy of the Action Plan for Excellence can be found below.
